Education Series: Restoring Pride in the Trades: A Case Study on Creating a High School Tiny House Program

Tuesday, September 15, 2020 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

From conception to final punch, learn how to engage your ISD and partner with your local high school to train the next generation of builders. In this session, the Hill Country Builders Association’s award-winning building trades program’s founders and mentors will share how they’re making this happen. The presenters will guide you through their grassroots, self-funded program that designs, builds, and auctions a fully finished custom home every school year. You’ll leave with a clear path to creating or strengthening your own high school building trades program and giving students real-world experience.
