2021 was a strong year for the homebuilding industry. However, interest rates increased at the start of this year, which slowed the housing market. Moreover, the U.S. economy faced elevated risks during the first half of the year due to the war in Ukraine, continued supply chain issues and workforce shortages. Dr. Dietz, one of the nation’s most respected housing economists, will bring us his housing and economic forecast for the remainder of 2022 and beyond, with a focus on inflation and future Federal Reserve policy. He will also detail reasons for optimism regarding homebuilding over the coming decade.
Presented by Dr. Robert Dietz, Chief Economist, National Association of Home Builders
